Research and Medical Education in Gaza
Research on what war does to health, and hands-on training for Gaza’s medical students and school staff, led by FAJR’s clinicians.
Rise Again
Schools for Children in Gaza and Egypt
Free schools for children in Gaza and for displaced Palestinian children in Cairo, with classes, supplies and psychosocial support.
How the work is done
FAJR Scientific invests in what endures: research into the health consequences of conflict, medical training for the next generation of clinicians, and schools that restore structure and learning for children who have lost years of education.
Emergency care treats the patient in front of you. Research and teaching decide how many patients the next clinician will be able to treat, and how well. This part of FAJR's work moves more slowly than emergency response, but its impact builds over time.
The area covers three strands: clinical studies documenting what war does to health, training and sponsorship for medical students and junior clinicians, and the Rise Again schools program returning children to classrooms.
