For many families in Gaza, winter now means living in tents or in the shells of damaged buildings, with little protection from the cold. Warm Gaza funds 5,000 winter blankets for displaced families. $25 buys one warm blanket.
Winter in Gaza's displacement camps
Last winter, heavy rains flooded more than 40 emergency shelters, mostly in Khan Younis and Gaza City, and damaged around 700 tents. A baby died of hypothermia, according to the Ministry of Health (OCHA, December 2025). About one million people were living in displacement sites across the Gaza Strip, and UNRWA estimated that Gaza needed around 300,000 tents and prefabricated units to meet basic shelter needs.
For a family sleeping on the ground, a warm blanket is the difference between a night of shivering and a night of sleep, especially for babies, older people and the sick.
How Warm Gaza works
Warm Gaza funds the purchase of 5,000 winter blankets, sourced from suppliers inside Gaza so that the money supports the local economy as well as the families receiving them. Our aim is to buy the blankets and get them to families before the coldest weeks arrive.
What your gift provides
$25 buys 1 winter blanket for a family. $100 buys 4 blankets, $250 buys 10, and $1,000 provides 40 winter blankets for displaced families.

Campaign updates
Every gift on this page turns into food on a plate within days. A gift of $9 funds one nutritious meal for a displaced family in Gaza. Your support is going straight to food, the transport to move it, and the teams distributing it with dignity.
A look at how a meal comes together: chicken prepared and seasoned in bulk, then cooked in large pots before being packed into trays and delivered while still warm. This is the same shift-based kitchen shown in the campaign photos.

Distribution is underway across displacement shelters in Gaza, reaching families who often cannot get to a market safely. Each parcel and hot meal is delivered by teams working directly where people are sheltering.
