Children in the West Bank are waiting for operations that do not stay minor if they are delayed. A condition that could be corrected can become a permanent disability. At An-Najah National University Hospital, FAJR Global funds surgery for children on those waiting lists.
Why children are waiting
Specialist surgery in the West Bank is limited by capacity rather than need. Violence and movement restrictions also make it harder for patients to reach care: the World Health Organization estimates that 2.9 million people in the occupied Palestinian territory need humanitarian health assistance in 2026 (WHO, 2026). For a child, months on a waiting list can mean lifelong complications, chronic pain or irreversible harm.
How the programme works
FAJR funds pediatric surgical care for children on An-Najah's waiting lists, delivered by specialist teams working alongside the hospital's own surgeons. Your donation pays for a child's operation and the care around it, from diagnostics before surgery to medication and follow-up afterwards, turning a place on a waiting list into a date for treatment.
An-Najah National University Hospital in Nablus is one of the West Bank's main referral hospitals. Working through it means children are treated close to home, by surgeons who will continue to care for them after the operation.
What your gift provides
$100 covers medication and post-operative care for a child. $250 pays for diagnostics and pre-operative tests. $500 goes toward one child's surgery, and $1,500 toward a child's complete surgical care.

Campaign updates
Every gift on this page turns into food on a plate within days. A gift of $9 funds one nutritious meal for a displaced family in Gaza. Your support is going straight to food, the transport to move it, and the teams distributing it with dignity.
A look at how a meal comes together: chicken prepared and seasoned in bulk, then cooked in large pots before being packed into trays and delivered while still warm. This is the same shift-based kitchen shown in the campaign photos.

Distribution is underway across displacement shelters in Gaza, reaching families who often cannot get to a market safely. Each parcel and hot meal is delivered by teams working directly where people are sheltering.
