Emergency care saves the patient in front of you. Research and training decide how many patients the next clinician will be able to save. FAJR Global supports clinical research and medical education in underserved and conflict-affected communities.
Why research and training matter in conflict zones
War destroys more than hospitals. It interrupts the training of doctors and nurses, and it leaves gaps in what is known about how conflict affects health. Without evidence, aid is harder to target; without trained local clinicians, communities depend on outside help for longer.
What FAJR does
FAJR's clinicians and collaborators publish peer-reviewed research on conflict and humanitarian health, medical missions, and clinical and surgical outcomes. You can read the full library on our Publications page.
FAJR also trains local professionals so that skills stay in the community. In October 2026, FAJR completed a training program for 24 school counselors and teacher supervisors in Gaza on psychosocial support in the classroom, delivered by its U.S.-based mental health team. Read about the training.
Donations fund research costs, training programmes and the clinicians being trained. This work takes longer to show results than emergency aid, but its impact keeps building for years.
What your gift provides
$50 buys training materials for one medical trainee. $100 funds a day of hands-on clinical training. $500 goes toward data collection for a field study, and $1,000 toward a clinician's specialist course.

Campaign updates
Every gift on this page turns into food on a plate within days. A gift of $9 funds one nutritious meal for a displaced family in Gaza. Your support is going straight to food, the transport to move it, and the teams distributing it with dignity.
A look at how a meal comes together: chicken prepared and seasoned in bulk, then cooked in large pots before being packed into trays and delivered while still warm. This is the same shift-based kitchen shown in the campaign photos.

Distribution is underway across displacement shelters in Gaza, reaching families who often cannot get to a market safely. Each parcel and hot meal is delivered by teams working directly where people are sheltering.
$100 funds a day of hands-on training for a local clinician.
