The Mission.
This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world medical intervention. By uniting student research units with experienced physician mentors, the initiative aims to identify specific lives lost to preventable or treatable conditions and build the infrastructure to save them.
The "One Tree" Philosophy.
We will challenge teams to identify one specific clinical barrier, whether it is a lack of sterile surgical tools, a gap in diabetic training, or a broken supply chain, and design one targeted solution to resolve it. We prioritize projects that are concrete, scalable, and operationally feasible over those that are vague or overly ambitious.
Real-World Implementation.
The initiative follows a rigorous four-phase framework, guiding teams from epidemiological analysis through capacity assessment and logistical design. The program culminates in a competitive Grant Defense, where research units present their fully costed proposals to the FAJR Global committee. Winning teams receive immediate seed funding to launch their initiatives, transforming their research directly into life-saving reality on the ground.
