FAJR’s leadership on Our Team

Omar was in Grade 7 when he left Gaza in February 2024. Displacement interrupted his education. He later enrolled in Grade 8 at another learning center but struggled to make progress, and eventually he stopped attending in person and continued online. Remote learning could not fully meet his needs.

At the start of this school year, Omar joined FAJR Global’s Education Program. With consistent classroom learning and regular follow-up, his teachers began to see improvements in his academic performance, understanding and engagement in lessons.

His progress went beyond grades. When behavioral challenges arose, his teacher paid close attention to his needs and stayed in direct contact with his caregiver. Simple, deliberate steps helped: changing where he sat, offering guidance and checking in regularly.

Over time, Omar regained his academic momentum and became more committed to both his learning and his behavior.
