Watch: Piers Morgan sits down with Dr. Mosab Nasser

Piers Morgan interviewed Dr. Mosab Nasser live from the European Hospital in Khan Younis, in the south of the Gaza Strip, in May 2024. Morgan introduced him as the CEO of the American medical charity FAJR Scientific, working at the hospital between Khan Younis and Rafah. The interview is shared on FAJR Global’s YouTube channel.

Asked what the reality on the ground is like, Dr. Nasser said it is very different from the shots seen on TV, and a million times worse. He described families displaced to the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, living in tents without water or proper shelter.

He said his team included 12 Americans, three Brits, one doctor from Egypt and one from Oman. They had been staying in a house in Rafah. After heavy bombing within 500 meters one night, the whole team decided to move to the European Hospital. No evacuation order had been given. Asked about supplies, Dr. Nasser said the team lacked basic items such as anesthesia medications, blood and wound care supplies.

Asked what motivates him, he said this is an unprecedented time in history and that every member of his team wanted to be part of it, something they will talk about with their children and grandchildren. He said he does not like to call what he sees a war. He prefers to call it madness.
