Watch: The medics who risked their own lives to save the citizens of Gaza
In a video for the Irish Examiner, doctors who treated the wounded in Gaza, including FAJR founder Dr. Mosab Nasser, describe operating under siege.

The Irish Examiner’s video page says that, as the anniversary of the October 7 attacks approached, its political editor Elaine Loughlin spoke to three medics and the head of the not-for-profit organization Fajr Scientific. The paper says all four risked their own lives to save people in Gaza.
The four it names are Dr. Jeremy Hickey, Dr. Kaled Saleh, Dr. Mohammed Tahir and Dr. Mosab Nasser, whom it calls the founder of Fajr Scientific. According to the page, they talk about life under siege in Gaza, performing operations as bombs explode nearby and the level of human suffering they witnessed during their time there.
Update, October 25, 2026: The Irish Examiner also published a written feature by Elaine Loughlin the same day, ‘They had not seen an apple for seven months’, in which the same four doctors give their accounts in their own words. Read our summary of the article.
