FAJR Global Announces Chief Surgical Nurse: Diana L. Korsog, BS, RN, CNOR-ORTHO, CRNFA
FAJR Global is proud to announce Diana L. Korsog—known affectionately to her colleagues as “Di”—as our new Chief Surgical Nurse, joining our humanitarian medical leadership team dedicated to bringing advanced surgical care to communities most in need around the world.
With more than three decades of experience in surgical nursing, clinical leadership, and patient advocacy, Di brings an extraordinary blend of skill, compassion, and commitment to global health. Her career has spanned multiple surgical specialties, as well as previous years spent in the Critical Care setting. She has guided surgical teams, strengthened hospital performance standards, and worked to improve patient outcomes through education, precision, and care-driven leadership.
A highly credentialed professional and patient advocate, Di holds certifications as both a Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) and a Certified Nurse Operating Room Specialist (CNOR-ORTHO). Her exceptional performance and commitment to excellence have earned her multiple Facility Nursing Awards, including the DAISY Award, the Florence Nightingale Award, and her institution’s Nursing Excellence Award—recognition that reflects her dedication to compassionate care and clinical mastery.
In addition to her stateside leadership, Di has served on three international medical missions with FAJR Global, providing direct surgical care and training in Gaza, the West Bank, and Pakistan. Her hands-on experience in challenging conditions exemplifies FAJR Global’s core mission: to deliver healing, dignity, and world-class medical service to those living through crisis.
In her new role, Di will oversee FAJR Global’s surgical nursing programs, mentor volunteer medical teams, and help advance our mission of sustainable, compassionate healthcare delivery around the world.
FAJR Global warmly welcomes Diana “Di” Korsog to her new leadership position as she continues to inspire excellence, teamwork, and hope across every community we serve.
Sincerely,
Dr. Mosab Nasser
